About Dr. Argyropoulos
Theodoros Argyropoulos, M.D., M.Sc., Ph.D. is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at the General Hospital of Athens “G. Gennimatas” and Scientific Director of the Gastroenterology Department at Affidea Peristeri.
With extensive experience in both public and private healthcare, he has developed deep expertise in advanced endoscopic procedures.
He holds a Ph.D. from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), focusing on cellular prognosis in colorectal cancer, and a Master’s degree in Health Unit Management. He has also completed clinical fellowships in Hepatology and Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD). More recently, he received specialized training in the Apollo endobariatric system — an innovative, minimally invasive approach to obesity management.
His goal is to transform patient anxiety into a clear, actionable, and compassionate care plan — combining scientific precision with a deeply human approach.
